Light for Eastern Bavaria – solar lanterns from ATB

Eastern Bavaria. Anyone who enjoys walking, jogging, going for a walk or cycling in eastern Bavaria will be very familiar with these dark spots: bus stops, crossroads, cycle paths and footpaths. Here, it is often not possible for local authorities to provide sufficient lighting; conventional lanterns, which require a connection to the power grid, would be too expensive.

Tearing up the soil alone incurs high costs, around 4,000 euros per hundred meters depending on the location. Now the company Automatentechnik Baumann (ATB) from Luhe-Wildenau is launching an alternative on the market that could set new standards in terms of both price and usability. The exact designation is 1460/U20. Behind it is a modern solar street lamp, which the Ostbayern-Kurier took a closer look at.
