ATB was founded by Dr. Wolfgang Baumann in October 2001 as a spin-off of company Nagler and has become one of the most important manufacturers of service machines for the car park management and local public transport (LPT) sectors. Since taking over the products from the former company Klüssendorf from Berlin in 2001, we have continued to manufacture the tried and tested ticket validator and supply public transport companies across Germany with the classic validator types 1887 (horizontal validator) and 1890 (vertical validator).
Our customers are international. Our pay & display machines have been set up in various European markets and even in North America and New Zealand. With around 7,000 devices installed (on-street parking) in the United Arab Emirates (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman), we are the market leader in this region by a wide margin.
Further development of the machines for car park management is in full swing. In addition to the classic system of paying with coins, notes and credit cards are also optional payment systems. Our P&D machines can therefore also be used in “off-street” areas that allow longer parking durations and therefore have higher fees.
The application with a large display (touchscreen) is an important version. We can supply a solar-powered version that also meets future market requirements.
ATB means quality, reliability and innovation
Additional products have been added to our range over the years. Thanks to our know-how in solar-powered energy supply, we have developed a solar street light that is used around foot and cycle paths, parks, sports fields, bus stops and commuter car parks.
Furthermore, our product range also includes emergency stations with defibrillators and security cameras. The housing is vandalism-proofed and completely made of stainless steel, making it suitable for outdoor use.
We have been the exclusive supplier of P.O. box systems and secure storage units to the German postal service (Deutsche Post) for many years.
As a family-run company, we have the required flexibility to respond to our customers’ requirements competently and to offer individual solutions. ATB is part of the Dr. Baumann group of companies with more than 500 employees and 13 production locations.
